Child Safety ads from the 50ies! I would have made them more gory, if we coddle our kids they’ll just grow up into weak, frightened wussies instead of strong, emotionally damaged sociopaths! You need to look out for those damn piles of leaves!

These are my favorites out of the bunch:

Here are some photos of my maternal grandmother. I forgot I had them until I found them while browsing through my folders. She died a little over 10 years ago, I think she was almost 80 by then. These are from letters she sent to my grandfather, Gio, who I suppose was in Rome at the time. She was Swedish but I suppose they talked in English with eachother. Gio was dead before I was born so I wouldn’t know.

Arnold Odermatt was a Swiss photografer in the 50ies who worked at accident sites to take photos of the accident for insurance purposes. He kept one photo from each accident for himself.

Soggy corn flakes mixed with yogurt has the same consistancy as vomit if you let them soak long enough.

No, really, I shouldn’t complain. I have food. I’m not starving. I have kind of an OCD about throwing away food; I hardly ever do it unless it’s really, really old and uneatable. If I have left-overs from a meal, I’ll try to offer it to at least 5 passing victims before I give up and throw it away.

Anyhow, I force-fed myself those last spoonfuls of vomitlike yogurt and felt slightly sick for the day, and in short that’s how my day was like.
