I found these photos in an LJ-comm I frequent, and the person who posted them didn’t provide the source. Anyhow, these are photos from the Ganges river in India, which you probably know is considered holy by Hindus. Those who are too poor to get their loved ones cremated let them drift off along the river instead. These photos feature a lot of bloated, decomposed corpses, so be warned, but I think they’re very powerful and somehow still beautiful.
